BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. The US has always fully supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Armenia, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby told Trend during today's press conference.
"The US has always fully supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Armenia. We have never recognized the independence of any parts of Azerbaijan. We have consistently voted in the Security Council for the territorial integrity of both parties," he noted.
The ambassador emphasized that Baku and Washington have a long history of cooperation on various issues since Azerbaijan gained independence.
"The priorities of my work include energy, security, and environmental issues. One of my goals, and a goal of our policy, is to expand our trade and investment ties with Azerbaijan. We have a good history that I want to preserve and continue in terms of protecting our common interests from transnational threats, providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and, of course, enhancing people-to-people connections between our two countries," said Libby.
