BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. Webcams are planned to be installed at polling stations in liberated territories, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told reporters, Trend reports.
The CEC chairman mentioned that foreign observers are currently on the scene and international structures had no remarks in connection with preparations for the election.
“Foreign observers also highly appreciate the work carried out in a short time in the liberated territories,” he said.
Mazahir Panahov emphasized that webcams have not yet been installed at polling stations in the territories liberated from occupation and added that an appeal has been addressed to the relevant bodies in this regard.
He also reminded that more than 42,000 voters will cast their ballots in the territories liberated from occupation.
On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.
The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
