BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Azerbaijan and Armenia edge closer to peace than ever before, Trend reports via an article by the Secretary of the Security Council of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, published in the official newspaper.
"Monitoring the progress in the process of delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Armenia and its overall course shows that Azerbaijan and Armenia are closer to peace than ever. If Yerevan finds the strength to rid itself of the harmful influence of its patrons who are leading it to the abyss, it is possible that a peace treaty between the two countries will be signed," the article said.
The article also reminded that even before September 2023 and immediately after the local anti-terrorist measures, Azerbaijan took specific steps to reintegrate Armenian residents as citizens of the country.
In this regard, according to the article, an official online portal was created for the convenience of Armenian residents.
For those Armenian residents who wished to leave the Karabakh economic region, safe conditions were created for free and unhindered travel to Armenia, including providing transportation and food, the article reminded.
