BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagchi shared a publication where he congratulated Azerbaijan on November 8 - Victory Day, Trend reports.

According to the information, the diplomat posted the congratulations in his account on X.

“Today is the day when the 44-day Second Karabakh War was crowned with a glorious victory. Today is the day when the tricolor flag flies on the highest peaks of free Karabakh. I heartily congratulate the brotherly Azerbaijani people on November 8 - Victory Day, honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for this glorious victory, express my condolences to their relatives and battle comrades, and wish the veterans good health and long years of life,” the publication reads.

To note, Shusha city, which has great spiritual significance for the Azerbaijani people, was liberated from Armenian occupation during the 44-day Second Karabakh War on November 8, 2020. The liberation of the city of Shusha was the culmination of the 44-day Karabakh War. According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 3, 2020, November 8 is annually celebrated as Victory Day in the country.
