BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. The Commission of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan against Foreign Interventions and Hybrid Threats issued a statement, the Azerbaijani parliament told Trend.
"The Commission of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan against foreign interference and hybrid threats, within the framework of its powers, analyzes the protection, integrity and security of our state from external threats, including atrocities that may pose a threat to the unity and national and spiritual values of the Azerbaijani people, develops recommendations for their exposure and prevention.
During the monitoring conducted by the commission, the goals and features of disinformation and information manipulations carried out mainly on social media platforms from the territory of a neighboring state were studied, and a network was identified that systematically and organizedly participates in the anti-Azerbaijani campaign.
The campaign involves more than 300 accounts, 124 of which are on Facebook, 67 on Instagram, 67 on Telegram, 32 on YouTube, 10 on X and other social networks.
During the research it was established that harmful and radical religious and ideological propaganda aimed at inciting discord between our citizens, creating polarization, changing the constitutional order of the state and forming distrust of state institutions is carried out in a coordinated manner.
The Commission against Foreign Interventions and Hybrid Threats calls on our citizens not to believe false and fake information.
A report on the monitoring results will be submitted to the relevant government agencies for appropriate action," the statement says.
