AZERBAIJANI, EGYPTIAN EXPERTS TO COORDINATE AGENDA FOR INTERGOVERNMENTAL ECONOMIC MEETING

The upcoming meeting of Azerbaijani and Egyptian experts, in Cairo in the first half of July, is expected to approve the agenda for the second meeting of the intergovernmental meeting of the countries, according to the Egyptian embassy in Baku.

Azerbaijan’s Minister for Economic Development Farhad Aliyev and Egypt’s Minister for Foreign Relations, Ms. Faiza Abul Naga co-chair the commission.

The meeting, to take place late in July, will likely end up with the signing of several bilateral agreements. So far the sides have coordinated five bilateral documents concerning cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt, in the fields of agriculture, commerce, industry, culture, etc.

The commission will also discuss ways of expansion of trade turnover between the countries.

Azerbaijan and Egypt convened the first meeting (of intergovernmental commission) in Baku, October 2002.
