The legal proceedings into Khosrov Javadov, a relative of Haji Mammedov, a senior state official accused in the committing grave crimes, were held at the Absheron District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Rasim Agayev on Friday, the law-defender of Javadov, Aydin Nazarli, told Trend.
Javadov is accused of illegal keeping of weapons in accordance with Artucle 228.2.1 of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic. The Public Prosecutor called the court to pass sentence on Javadov imprisoning him for 4 years.
In his term, Javadov denied the accusations and noted that the weapons found in his house belonged ot Mammedov.
“I was arrested only because I’m Mammedov’s relative,” he stressed.
