AZERI MP TO DELIVER REPORT ON BELARUS IN PACE

MP Asim Mollazada, a Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) rapporteur on Belorus, will deliver a report on Belorus in January, Trend reports.

Following the announcement Asim Mollazada, an Azerbaijani parliamentary representative to the PACE, told Trend that a monitoring linked with Belorus had already started. The report will be discussed at a meeting of the sub-committee in October during the autumn session of the PACE. In January it is planned to publicize the report, which is currently under development.

Mollazada said that the agenda of a meeting of the PACE sub-committee on Nagorno-Karabakh with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to be held in Paris on 12 September was determined. The gathering will mainly focus on the implementation of the PACE resolution

on Nagorno-Karabakh which was issued in January. Besides, the gathering will also center on talks targeting the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and estimate the current state of peace talks.

Attending the gathering will be the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Steven Mann of the United States, Yuriy Merzlyakov of Russia, and Bernard Facie of France, as well as representatives from the countries entering the Minsk Group. Samad Seyidov, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE, MP Asim Mollazada, as well as Araz Azimov, the special envoy of the Azerbaijani President on Nagorno-Karabakh, also Deputy Foreign Minister.
