A group of candidates from Masalli town constituency 70 sent a application to Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, the Central Election Committee (CEC), the OSCE Baku Office, U.S. and British embassies to Azerbaijan in relation to illegal actions of MP Ahad Abiyev balloting from the same constituency, Trend reports.
The application says that Abiyev violates Elections Code and hinders the election campaign of the candidates.
According to Abiyev, this is a next provocation against him. “They know me as successful candidate and have to use provocation against me. But they never carry out their intention,” he added. Abiyev noted that he did not see any worthy rival to this post on this constituency. Touching upon the refuse from running for the elections by some candidates, he stressed that he did not understand them.
