The citizens may vote by the old Soviet passports at the parliamentary elections on 6 November, a member of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan Anver Aliyev told Trend.
He reported, at the CEC sitting on 1 November the issue of certificates to be used at the elections will be discussed. According to Aliyev, the old Soviet red passport which is void will be valid at the Elections day, as not all citizens of Azerbaijan are provided with new Identity Cards.
The citizens having the right to vote, while attending the polling station must have with them one of the following documents: Identity Card, a former Soviet passport, a temporary Identity Card (form 7,9) or a military card.
