“68 modern traffic lights were installed in the central streets of Baku over 10 months,” Vagif Asadov, the chief of the Agitation Division of the State Traffic Police, told Trend.
The Traffic Police determined areas in the avenues Azadlig, R.Behbudov, Tbilisi, Z.Bunyadov, as well as the streets G.Garayev, Z.Ahmadbayov, J.Jabbarli, N.Aliyev, S.Vurgun, Bakikhanov, Istiglaliyyat, Sheikh Shamil, H.Hajiyev, A.Aliyev. K.Rahimov and Tebriz, where car parking was banned and 160 road signs were installed.
Besides, the Traffic Police carried out work on installation of traffic lights in 7 crossroads, 1,569 road signs and marking of roads.
The employees of the Traffic Police conducted the work related to registration.
Owners of 566,782 cars received state registration signs, 87,635 - registration cards, where 37,432 cars were subjected to initial registration, 33,547 - repeated registration. 53,703 citizens received driving licenses.
The employees of the State Traffic Police revealed 329,993 violations of rules.
1,400 drivers were deprived of driving licenses for different terms.
40,000 violations of rules were revealed through radar Lux devices.
