Azadlig bloc holds rally

The rally-march by the Azadlig bloc on 9 November scheduled for 15.00 p.m. began at 16.05 p.m. The reason was delay of the coalition’s leaders, Trend reports.

After sounding the National Anthem of Azerbaijan the rally was announced open. Among the speakers are the first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Sardar Djajaloglu, deputy chairman of the Musavat Party Rauf Arifoglu, chairmen of the Musavat and the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Isa Gambar and Ali Kerimli, a leader of the National Unity Movement and chairman of the National Independence Party Ali Aliyev.

According to the police officers, 3,000 people attended the rally, while the Azadlig alliance alleges, there were about 50,000 participants.

The rally has been observed by the OSCE Baku office head, the Ambassador of Norway to Azerbaijan and leaders of a number of international institutions.
