The Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister (FM) Elmar Mammadyarov will arrive in Strasburg afternoon and in the evening of 16 November will meet with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CE) Terry Davis and the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Bruno Haller, the permanent representative of Azerbaijan to CE, Ambassador Agshin Mehtiyev told Trend exclusively.
В"Two times a year (in spring and in autumn) sessions of the CE Council of Ministers with the Foreign Ministers of the member-states of this organization take place in Strasburg’, Mehtiyev noted, saying, the Azerbaijan’s FM head will speak at the sitting of the CE Committee of Ministers on 17 November in the afternoon.
The session’s agenda includes mostly the issues related to the implementation of decisions, taken during the CE Warsaw Summit, particularly, strengthening of democratic structures, human rights protection and etc.
A number of bilateral meetings to be held within the Committee of Ministers are not ruled out.
The meeting of the Azerbaijan’s FM head with representatives of the working group of the European Parliament on South Caucasus is scheduled for Thursday.
