“The meeting of expert on delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Georgian borders is planned in Georgia till late 2005,” Garib Mammadov, the chairman of the State Committee on Land and Cartography, told Trend.
According to Mammadov, Azerbaijan has 480km border with Georgia, including 5 sections and 24 subsections. The sides have unified 7 subsections. “We have held exchange of topographic maps and discussed the rest 8 subsections. The last meeting of the experts was held in Baku. The next one must be staged in Georgia to consider different fact revealed by the experts,” he noted.
Mammadov stressed that the exact date of the meeting would be determined after address of Georgia.
