Azeri Education Ministry to continue program in inclusive education next year

In 2006 Azerbaijan will carry out some measures to improve the living conditions and education of children in need of special care, Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, told Trend.

According to Mardanov, over the past 2-3 years some measures were taken in the country for increase of the sate care of the application of inclusive education in the country. Heydar Aliyev Foundation played considerable role in it through carrying out the program on improvement of living conditions of children in need of special care jointly with the Education Ministry.

Next year the work over the implementation of the program on inclusive education will continue and definite public budget funds will be approved in this respect, the minister underlined.

According to Mardanov, next year it is planned to approve more funds for the implementation of the program on computerization of secondary schools. This year over 4200 computers were distributed among 156 secondary schools in Baku and Sumgayit cities, the minister said.
