“Azerbaijan won’t compromise in settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem,” Azeri President

Azerbaijan will not compromise in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem,” Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, stated to a 60th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Trend reports.

“Armenians attempt to distort the history of Azerbaijan. They try to introduce Azerbaijan as aggressor. It is no secret that Armenians arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh, the integral territory of Azerbaijan, as guests. We must inform the world community about this historic truth,” the head of the country underlined. He stressed that the special role in the issue belonged to ANAS and appropriate bodies.

The President also said that the scientists must pay serious attention to humanitarian sphere in order to prevent distortion of Azerbaijan’s history. According to Aliyev, all necessary conditions will be established in this regard.
