Report of Lord Russel Johnson on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict approved in Paris

The report of the head of the subcommittee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Nagorny Karabakh, lord Russel Johnson have been accepted on 9 January in Paris, a subcommittee member, the Milli Mejlis deputy, the chairman of the Party of Democratic Reforms (PDR) of Azerbaijan, Asim Mollazade told Trend exclusively.

According to him, the report presented by the lord, had been approved at the sitting of the subcommittee on the results of the debates. В"The Armenian delegation wanted to remove the expression the models of the autonomy from the discussion, due to which serious debates took place and the subcommittee did not accept this proposal from the Armenian side. On the whole, the report proposed by Lord Johnson was approved.

According to Mollazade, the report by the Lord was heard at the PACE winter session in late January and the next sitting of the subcommittee is scheduled for 15 March 2006.

Mollazade said also, that the PACE bureau took place in Paris. The issues related to Azerbaijan were not raised there.
