Coordinating Advisory Council For free and fair elections identified work schedule for 2006
The Coordinating Advisory Council For free and fair elections will perform monitoring and the parallel vote counting at the by-elections to the Parliament on 13 May 2006, the Council told Trend.
The action plan for 2006 has been defined at the organizations sitting. The decision has been taken to continue the activities in the field of the Nagorny Karabakh conflict settlement, legislative initiatives, public control over budgetary and oil revenues and etc. Along with this, the action plan includes measures for human rights defense, political prisoners problems, non-governmental organizations registration, control over court rulings.
Legal assistance to candidates to deputies while appealing to the European Court is also planned. The task force is set up for above-mentioned goals which will submit the action plan in priority fields at the next sitting of the Coordinating Advisory council.
