The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights (ODIHR) has publicized a final report on 6 November parliamentary elections in 2005, Trend reports.
The document underlines that despite a progress in the process of registration of candidates to MP there was still observed interference of the executive bodies into the electioneering and tendentious position of some media units did not allow establishing equal conditions for all candidates. The process of voting was quiet, while the situation complicated during the calculation of votes.
Though the Azerbaijani President signed two decrees, the local self-government bodies could not and did not want to take measures to implement the decree, the report underlined.
The report contains some recommendations which could lead to improvement of the situation in the sphere of conduct of elections in Azerbaijan.
