The meeting of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) led by Ali Aliyev will discuss the decision by Musavat Party in regard to the by-elections to Milli Majlis [Parliament], scheduled for 13 May 2006, Ali Aliyev, the chairman of ANIP, told Trend.
The decision, made by Musavat, was accepted as unexpected event in the opposition camp.
Aliyev also stressed that the decision by Musavat Party put the project on consolidation of the opposition, proposed by Ali Karimli, under question. We thought of establishment of the block, which would include Musavat Party, Azerbaijan Democratic Party, Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party, Azerbaijan National Independence Party and National Unity Movement, Aliyev underlined.
New political situation formed in the opposition camp due to the decision by Musavat to -participate in the by-elections. I think that we will act without Musavat, he added.
