Negotiations on development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria were held in Vienna. The consultations passed recently in the framework of the visit of the deputy Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Araz Azimov to the Austrian capital, the press centre of the Foreign Ministry told Trend.
During his visit to Vienna Azimov met with the head of the political department of the Austria Foreign Ministry Tomas Meyer-Harting, the head of the South Caucasus and Central Asia department Hanes Porias, the Ambassador of Austria to Azerbaijan, Mrs. Heide-Maria Guerer.
Political aspects of the existing bilateral relations, the ways for their development, the issues of Azerbaijans involvement in the New Neighbourhood Policy, priorities of the political line of Azerbaijan have been discussed during the meeting. The Azerbaijan deputy Minister informed the Austrian officials of the negotiation process over the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict settlement.
Azimov held also talks in Vienne with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) secretary general Brishambo, the permanent representative of Belgium to OSCE Crombruegge, as well as with the permanent representatives of Turkey, Rumania and France in the organization.
It should be reminded Azimov was in Austria to take part in the OSCE workshop on military doctrines.
