Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan hold preparations for meeting of intergov'l commission on economic co-op

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan hold preparations for the next 8th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-commercial and scientific-technical cooperation between the countries, Ismatulla Irgashev, the Uzbek Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told Trend exclusively.

According to Irgashev, the agenda of the intergovernmental commission includes a very wide range of interactions. 5 documents, covering trade and commercial sphere, are under the consideration of the sides. Besides, the Uzbek government will appoint its new co-chairman of the commission soon.

It should be mentioned that the previous meeting of the commission was held in 2004. The Uzbek Ambassador said that the sides achieved an agreement on organization of business forum within the forthcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission with the participation of the businessmen and the entrepreneurs both of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. At present the sides are preparing for the forum.
