Program of Azerbaijani president's visit to Japan coordinated

Preparations for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevs forthcoming official visit to Japan from 7 to 10 March are complete, Trend reports citing Azer Huseyn, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan, told Trend.

The President has a rich visit program, he said. President Aliyeb and his spouse, Mehriban Aliyeva will be received by the Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Mitiko.

The President is also scheduled to have talks in large with the Japanese Prime Minister Dzuintiro Kiodzumi, and after the talks it is planned to sign bilateral documents.

The Ambassador announced that the two sides plan to sign a Memorandum on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries and an Agreement on technical assistance. Moreover, as a result of talks Azerbaijani President Aliyev and Japanese Prime Minister Dzintiro Kiodzumi will ink a joint declaration.

Along with official talks several meetings are also on schedule. Aliyev will deliver a lecture at the Institute of International Relationships with the participation of prominent political figures, representatives of business circles of Japan and ambassadors of foreign countries. The president also met with heads of several big Japanese companies, members of the Japanese-Azerbaijani parliamentary friendship group and visit he newly opened Azerbaijani embassy in Japan.

Under the visit there will be organized a business-forum and the Azerbaijani President will participate in the opening of the event with approximately 150 businessmen from two countries in presence.
