CEC to register observer journalists till 3 May

The journalists willing to observe over the parliamentary elections, which will be held on 13 May 2006, can address to the Central Election Committee (CEC) from Tuesday, Trend reports quoting Azer Sariyev, the head of the press service of CEC.

According to Sariyev, journalists can address to CEC for registration at any time, but the term of registration of observer journalists will compelete 3 May. The journalists, who received oberserver certificate from CEC, can follow the elections thorough the country i.e. all 10 constituencies. Nevertheless, the observers registered by constituency commissions may follow the eletcions only within these constituencies. The registartion of observer journalists by constituency comissions will last around 5 days i.e. till 8 May.

Sariyev stressed that they had ordered certificates for observer journalists and they would be distributed to registered journalists soon.
