Basic part of pensions will be increased by 5 manats from 1 April 2006 and comprise 30 manats, Trend reports citing Salim Muslimov, the chairman of the State Fund for Social Security.
Pensions of privileged category of population of 295 people, will be increased additionally. The first group of disabled people (blind) will receive a doubled sum 60 manats. Next category of privileged pensioners will receive additional sum in the amount of 20%, while members of the national heroes 200%. Additional payments are planned for members of shehid families, war disabled, second disability group, etc.
According to Muslimov, increase of basic part of pensions will concern 1,180 million pensioners. Additional 35bn manats will be approved out of the public budget only in April. Next rise of pensions is scheduled for October, when they will be increased 5 manats to 35 manats.
