Our key objective is to make Azerbaijan a rich country, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated on 13 April in a public meeting in Shaki, north Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to Aliyev the Azerbaijan is developing comprehensively has become a leader country in the region. He noted that the government attaches great importance to the development of economy and business. Especially, a business forum to be held in Shaki on 13 April will end in distribution of new credits for businessmen.
Aliyev also said that absence of new power stations in the country evolved numerous problems in the country and it was resolved to construct in Shaki a modern power station. The power station with the capacity of 87 MW will be put into exploitation this year and it will provide energy supply to the attached regions.
In the morning Azerbaijani President also put flowers at the monument to former President Heydar Aliyev in Shaki, got familiar with a museum with the same name and visited the Palace of Sheki Khans, a cultural-historic monument restored at the expense of the World Bank.
