Chon-Wook Lee, the General Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), is satisfied with the measures taken in Azerbaijan for fighting with the bird flu virus. WHO head stated about it is a talk to journalists in Baku, Trend reports.
He also voiced his satisfaction with the reforms held in Azerbaijan in the sphere of health.
Lee thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for cooperation in the development of cooperation with the WHO within the framework of struggle with the bird flu.
On Tuesday (25 April) the WHO General Director plans to meet with Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Health Minister Oktai Shiraliyev, as well as the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva.
Lees first visit to Azerbaijan will last till 26 April.
