Azerbaijan is interested in the development of cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the current visit of the WHO General Director will provide opportunities for outlining new directions of cooperation, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade said in a meeting with the WHO General Director, Lee Wook, Trend reports.
The PMappreciated the WHOs assistance in the conduct of reforms in the sphere of healthcare and voiced his hope that the cooperation will be expanded. The program implemented in the country with the support of the WHO targets resolution of social problems of the population and improvement of medical services rendered to population.
Noting the positive cooperation with the Azerbaijani government in the sphere of fighting bird flu, Wook appreciated the steps taken by the Azerbaijani government in this direction.
