Restriction of access to Baku beaches, in particular those in Shikhovo, Novkhani, Buzovna and Shuvelani, is an effective measure, said today Guseyn Bagirov, Minister of Ecology and natural Resources.
Bagirov said such measure was necessitated by the high level of area and water pollution.

Restriction for access to9 beaches came in effect June 1, 2006 based on lab analyses that showed 85.5% pollution of seawater.
