Malaysia support Azerbaijan's joining WTO  deputy FM

Malaysia supports Azerbaijans joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), Trend reports quoting deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmed Mamedkuliyev, ho was speaking today at the opening of WTO week in Baku.

Mamedkuliyev said Azerbaijan needs such status to get discounts, in particular, in agriculture. В"Some CSI countries, like Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan joined WTO as developing countries. In this process, Azerbaijan really needs to get support from the EU, Canada, the US, Australia, JapanВ", - he said.

В"At the moment the most important issue is legislation tailoring in accordance with WTO requirementsВ", - he stated.

В"Civil society shall get involved in our economic activity and put forward their suggestions. Several NGOs already started preparing proposals and 4 projects in this sphereВ", - he concluded.
