Israel displays interest in Azeri oil infrastructure minister

Creation of oil transportation system through Georgia, Turkey and Mediterranean Sea will enable satisfy Israels need in fuel, Trend reports quoting Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, Israeli minister of infrastructure, speaking in Baku at В"Sustainable development of oil&gas operations in Caspian SeaВ" conference.

Ben-Eliezer said such route will enable transport Azeri oil to East, China and other countries.

Minister said also Israel today heavily depends on power resources supply from abroad. The 20-year contract has been signed recently with Egyptian MG for supply of 7.1bn m3 of gas a year. The gas pipeline is currently installed up to Ashkelon city.
