Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus has become an honorary Ph.D of the Baku State University. The awarding ceremony was held at the Baku State University on 9 June, Trend reports.
In his address Adamkus thanked the teachers and professors of the University for conferring the high title. The President underlined Lithuanias intention to intensify cooperation with Azerbaijan in different spheres.
The same day Adamkus together with his spouse Alma Adamkus visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and got familiar with the stands and exponents exhibited there.
In accordance with the program of the visit, after the dinner reception to be given by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade the Lithuanian President will visit the Sangachal terminal and have a walk in Old City.
