Representatives of the State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis residing abroad are not invited to the 9th assembly of World Azerbaijanis Congress (WAC), headed by Muhammad Rza Heshti, which will pass June 24, Trend reports quoting Nazim Ibrahimov, chairman of the Committee.
Ibrahimov said the committee is ready to cooperate with all diaspora organizations, including both the parts of split WAC. However, Heshti-headed WAC does not cooperate with the State Committee.
В"The State Committee cooperates with WAC headed by Javad Derehti. At the same time, Heshti and his deputies were invited to and took part at the second congress of Azerbaijanis of the worldВ", - Ibrahimov said.
State official also said he is aware of the reasons for not inviting the State Committee representatives to the congress.
Ibrahimov recalled that due to failure to reunite WAC, Heshtis first deputy Javanshir Amirhishimi submitted his resignation.
Ibrahimov also said the State Committee did its best to reconcile both WACs. В"We talked to both the groups to reunite them as joint activity makes more sense. But it is obvious that the side leading the current congress is not eager to reunite. I know why WAC cannot reunite and I can make a statement on this, These persons unwillingness to unite grieves usВ", - he concluded.
