Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (Classics) (APFP) held a session of the Supreme Assembly in connection with the anniversary of creation, Mirmahmud Miralioglu, the chairman of the party, told, Trend reports.
At first, the members of the party visited the grave of Abulfaz Elchibay and Martyrs Avenue. Then, the session of the Supreme Assembly started in headquarter of APFP.
The session focused on the 17th anniversary of the creation of APFP, the history of National-liberation movement, the independence way of Azerbaijan, difficulties of the movement and successful results. Then, discussions were held on the social-political situation in the country, the tasks facing the party, activity of the party since the last session and upcoming municipal elections. Besides, the question of South Azerbaijan was discussed. It was made a decision to develop a statement on the events happening in South Azerbaijan, protection of rights of Azerbaijanis living there and appeals to the international organizations.
The participation of APFP in municipal elections was positively assessed and it was stated that the process of nominating will continue.
After the session of the Supreme Assembly, a holiday event was held. The anniversary of APFP was marked at unofficial level.
