The Azerbaijani Minister for Culture and Tourism, Abulfaz Garayev, visited Ganja on 28 July. He put a wreath at the monument to Heydar Aliyev and visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum, Trend regional correspondent reports. Later the Minister took interests in historic monuments of the city. He paid a tribute at the tomb of Nizami, great Azerbaijani poet, and was an historic monument Karvansaray in the city center.
A building of Karvansaray, which is located at the Humanitarian college, is in an emergency situation. The minister informed that the building will be renovated and the relevant talks with the Education Ministry in this respect are underway. After Garayev visited musical fountain, Jame Mosque Shah Abbas, Javadkhans tomb, etc.
Talking to journalists the Minister said that he was most of concerned in the wages of the culture employees, which is very low. Garayev said that they plan to increase their salaries by the end of the year.
