Any intensifications of the situation in Iran may influence all neighboring countries including Azerbaijan, deputy editor-in-chief of Russian Kommersant newspaper, politician Azer Mursaliyev exclusively told Trend , commenting on possible sanctions of the USA against Iran and its impacts for Azerbaijan.
First, the politician considers that it will be difficult for Azerbaijan to stay away from these sanctions, and USA will undoubtedly require the neighboring countries to join the regime of sanctions or more transparent relations with Iran. According to the politician, in such a situation, Azerbaijan may stand between two fires.
Azerbaijan needs to minimize the damages and try to maximally retire from the conflict as long as it is possible within the Regulation of UNO, international and bilateral agreements, and ensure that the relations are enough transparent with Iran and USA, the politician underlined.
