Friendship groups to be established at Ukrainian, Azerbaijani parliament Ukrainian MP

Anatoliy Kinakh, a Ukrainian MP, the President of the Union of Industrials and Entrepreneurs announced that friendship groups Azerbaijan-Ukraine will be established at the Azerbaijani and Ukrainian parliaments, Trend reports citing UNIAN agency.

As a result of the meeting held by Ukrainian President at the Azerbaijani parliament it was resolved to adopt a resolution on the establishment of friendship group Ukraine-Azerbaijan. The similar group will be established at the Ukrainian parliament.

The major attention was paid to the discussion of legislation provision of GUAMs activities, first of all free trade regime.

Noting the strategic character of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani partnership, Kinakh said that the during the Ukrainian Presidents official visit to Azerbaijan the two sides confirmed their mutual interests in deepening and improving the bilateral strategic partnership.

After the talks with the representatives of Azerbaijani business Kinakh said that Ukraine gives priority to cooperation in the spheres of fuel-energy and war industry, machine-building, the development of corridors, construction.

Kinakh voiced his confidence that the establishment of the Council of Azerbaijani and Ukrainian Presidents will promote the formation of a maximally favorable field for intensification of the economic and cultural cooperation, consolidation of the confidence between the two countries and peoples. He also expressed assurance that a working on cooperation in the fuel and energy complex (FEC) would promote the development of maximally constructive, mutually profitable and efficient packet of cooperation in the FEC. "Till 2010 Azerbaijan plans to increase oil production to 60 million tons a year and here have good opportunities for use capacities of the Odessa-Brody, he added.
