Azerbaijan look forward proposals concerning the date, the place, and the format of the negotiations on moving alterations to the Election Code of the country, which to be put forward by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, Ali Hassanov, Presidential Administration`s Social and Political Department Chief exclusively told Trend today.
He pointed out that the Venice Commission has addressed the Azerbaijani Government on different issues. During the meeting devoted to the reforming of the legislation in the field of the freedom of meetings in Azerbaijan to be held within OSCE tomorrow, representatives of the Council of Europe are expected to take part together with Azerbaijani officials.
Mr. Hassanov pointed out that the Government is also ready to discuss the issue on moving alterations to the Election Code of the country, and has already expressed wish to continue the cooperation with the Venice Commission. The Commission should submit its proposals concerning organizational issues.
