Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has sent a message to the participants of the 4th Session of CIS Oncologists and Radiologists which has opened today,Trend reports. The Azerbaijani President expressed his confidence that this session will make its important contribution to the medicine development in the country.
In his message, the Head of the Azerbaijani State said that the holding of the session in Baku is a result of the successful cooperation with Azerbaijan`s national Oncological Centre to keep the unite scientific space of CIS member-states.
The global man-caused and ecological changes happening all around the World are accompanied by negative effects on the mankind, and all that has its effect on the dynamics of oncological diseases. The modern medicine has huge possibilities in searching methods and ways to cure this horrible disease, the President told in his message.
The session will work till October 1. During the arrangement, the scientists acknowledged all over the World will present up-to-date approaches and new directions in studying and researching the malignant growths issue which to be discussed during the plenary lectures, symposiums.
The organizers of the arrangement is Azerbaijan`s Health Ministry, Association of Directors of Centres and Institutes of Oncology, Radiology, and Rontgenology of CIS Countries, National Oncological Centre of Azerbaijan`s Health Ministry, and Azerbaijan`s Medical University.
