Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev begins an official visit to Latvia on 3 October, Tofik Zulfugarov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Latvia, informed Trend exclusively. He noted that preparations for the visit are finalised.
During the visit Aliyev plans to meet with Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga on a one-to-one basis and then with the participation of the governmental delegation. Both parties plan to sign 6 inter-governmental agreements and the Presidents will issue a joint statement.
On 4 October the Azerbaijani President will address the Latvian State University. Attending the meeting will be the heads of diplomatic corps, MPs and representatives of Latvia in the European Parliament.
On 5 October a business forum will be organized with representatives of business circles of Azerbaijan and Latvia in which time several documents will be signed.
