A communiquГ© has been finalized as a result of 3 rd sitting of the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM, Akif Nasirov, Chief of the Press-Service of the Azerbaijani Parliament told Trendtoday.
A direction of the activity of PA GUAM in the future was determined. At the end of the meeting, a press conference was held. The Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, and Moldova answered questions that were asked by the representatives of the mass media.
Mr. Nasirov also pointed out that Moldova's President Vladimir Voronin met the chiefs of the delegations that came to Moldova to participate in the third sitting of PA GUAM. He also added that during the meeting between the Moldavian President and Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov, perspectives of the development of relations between the two countries, as well as development of interparliamentary relations, and other issues were discussed.
Mr. Nasirov also pointed out that the Azerbaijani Speaker gave an interview to the Georgian TV channels Imedi and Rustavi-2, and the Moldavian National TV. In the interview, the Speaker answered questions regarding development of Azerbaijan's economy, and reforms that are being carried out in the country.
