Unofficial Action of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Prevented
The unofficial action of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) that had to be held in front of the President Apparat was prevented. The action was held to protest against the demand for taking out Azadlig newspaper from its office, Trend reports.
The action was prevented in front of the Baku Soviet metro. The head of the APFP Press Service Isag Avazoglu was detained and delivered to Sabail District Police Department No.39.
In addition, several participants of the action were detained.
Oppositional APFP was created in 1990. The first Chairman of the party was the ex-Azerbaijani President Abulfaz Elchibay and after his death, the party was divided into two parts.
