Number of Hot Line Complaints Received by Azerbaijan's Public Prosecutor's Office Reduced from 860 to 60

The number of complaints received by the hot line of the Azerbaijan Public Prosecutor's Office has been reduced from 860 to 60, Vugar Aliyev, Chief of the Press-Service of the Azerbaijan Prosecutor's Office told Trend.

At the same time, a local computer network considered for viewing and receiving appeals from the population has been put into operation.

These measures are being taken on the basis of the implementation of the Presidential Decree of January, 19, 2006 On Applying the Bill on Moving Alterations to Several Enactments and Improving the Judiciary System of Azerbaijan Republic. Due to the introduction of new information technologies into the activity of the bodies of the Public Prosecutor's Office, a new organization for viewing and receiving appeals from the citizens has become a sphere in the activity of the Public Prosecutor's Office said Mr. Aliyev.

He said that the Public Prosecutor of the Country had given instructions on installation of new computer networks in the Military Prosecutor's Office, including Prosecutor's Offices of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Baku City.
