Canadian-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Group Created

A Canadian-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Group was created in the Canadian Parliament, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Canada.

Opening the constituent meeting, the representative of the Canadian Liberal Party, Jasmine Rattans, highlighted the importance of creating such a group for the first time in history. She voiced her confidence that the activities of this group would assist in developing bilateral relations between the two countries with regards to policy, trade, culture and science.

The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Canada, Fakhraddin Gurbanov, mentioned the benefits of this group in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. He mentioned that the key priority of the group would be the study of Canada's management practice and strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and Canada in the field of policy, economy and culture.

The work of the group will also bring together deputies and members of other parties. The organization's regulation was confirmed at the meeting. Jasmine Rattans was elected as the Chairwoman of the Group.
