40 mln Barrels of Azerbaijani oil Shipped from Ceyhan Port Head of Botas International Limited

To date, 56 tankers with different deadweight containing Azerbaijani oil have been shipped from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan via the Baku-TbilisiCeyhan main export oil pipeline (BTC). Ahmed Ergun, the General Director of Botas International Limited (BIL) said in talks with journalists at the Ceyhan Port that the volume of delivery exceeded 39 million barrels, Trend reports.

Oil was mainly delivered to Italy, Spain, India, Israel and other countries.

At present BTC pumps 500,000 barrels of Azeri light oil a day, he noted.

Botas International Limited receives $0.35 per barrel for technical service in oil delivery in the Ceyhan port, including $0.20 per barrel paid to Turkey in taxes. The capacity of reservoirs comprises 7 mln barrels (7 reservoirs each containing 1 mln barrels). The speed of the oil shipment in the port is 60,000 barrels per hour. Simultaneously, it is possible ship 2 tankers with the maximal deadweight of 300,000 tons. The water depth in the piers is 26 meters.
