The central Election Committee of Azerbaijan (CEC) has completed monitoring the activities of several local election committees, which was launched on 15 November, a CEC source informed Trend.
Groups consisting of 7 persons, including two representatives of the CEC Secretariat have been set up to hold such monitorings. During the process, buildings and premises occupied by the constituencies were examined as well as the salary status of employees, etc. Materials and hardware in their possession, as well as information on citizens who were not registered on the voting lists, and other issues were also investigated.
Monitoring was held at the local election commissions located in Baku, Sumgayit and the Absheron Peninsula. On the whole, the monitoring covered 38 constituencies. At present, results of the monitoring are being checked with CEC.
