Galib Israfilov, an employee of the Security Issues department of the Azerbaijan interior ministry is representing the country in the meeting of Experts and National Coordinators of GUAM Member-States, Tahir Taghizadeh, Chief of the Press and Information Policy department of the Azerbaijan Foreign Office, told Trend.
The meeting of experts of GUAM started in the Georgian Town of Bakuriani on November 27. The meeting is expected to be concluded on November 30.
The agenda of the meeting includes discussing the situation with domestic procedures needed for establishment of the GUAM Chamber into effect, as well as completing the Secretariat of the Organization, and agreeing proposals of the member-states on listing the work groups and the country-coordinators.
A number of documents are expected to be agreed on during the meeting: such as Memorandum on Cooperation and Mutual Aid on Atomic and Radioactive Security, joint actions within Item 42 of the Agenda of 61st Session of the UN General Assembly lingering conflicts on the territory of GUAM countries and consequences for the international peace, security, and development.
