Labor Activities of Foreign Workforces in Territory of Russian Federation Needs to be Regulated Deputy of Russian State Duma

The process of labor migration and labor activities of the foreign workforces in the territory of Russia needs to be regulated, the Chairman of the Committee of the Russian State Duma for Labor and Social Policy, Andrei Isayev, exclusively informed Trend, commenting on the resolution of the Russian Government that from 1 April 2007, that foreign citizens, including CIS citizens, will be prohibited to engage in trade in the markets, tents and other objects of retail trade.

According to him, working out the formal mechanism of such a decision may be possible on a trilateral basis with the participation of the Russian Government, employers and trade unions. Therefore, on the one hand, I am glad that the Government has decided to resolve this question. At the same time, I would like to discuss these proposals in the Russian Bilateral Commission for Regulation of the Social-Labor Relations to work out a balanced decision that does not violate human rights and will correspond with the interests of our citizens and the interests of our national economy, Isayev said.
