Number of Questions Needs to be Resolved to Distribute Turkish Gas Share from Shah Deniz  Azeri Minister

Number of questions needs to be resolved in order to finally agree and conclude a contract between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey on distribution of the Turkish share of natural gas from the Shah Deniz field, said the Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Aliyev exclusively informing Trend on December 15 that Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are continuing the negotiations regarding the gas.

The sides need to sign a contract on distribution part of gas in the volume of 2,8 bln cu.m, which is intended for Turkey in 2007 in accordance with the previously reached agreement.

According to the Minister, the sides need to prepare the documents to make amendments to juridical registration of the contract. The document is not ordinary. In addition, it needs to make annexes to the Intergovernmental Agreement, Aliyev said.

The Minister said that there already is an agreement on distributing the Turkish gas share among the countries, but the key work is in the juridical part, legalization and preparation of a new agreement.
