Introduction of NATO Standards in Azerbaijani Military Not to Take Much Time

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr E. Huseynli / Military expert Uzeyir Jafarov, Colonel-Lieutenant in reserve, informed that for rapid cooperation with NATO Azerbaijan has to make operative decisions on some matters. He believes that Azerbaijan hesitates on some issues while joining NATO, what causes obstacles for development of the relationships.

"NATO representatives plainly declare that Azerbaijan in contrast with Georgia could chalk up in the process of integration into NATO," Jafarov said.

"Introduction of the NATO standards in the Azerbaijani military will not take much time. If Azerbaijan does everything in its power, our country will introduce the NATO standards at most in two years. In near future NATO will provide the regular data on Azerbaijan," he said.
